To:       Kirby Park Members and
             All Area Tennis Players

From: Bill Eydler, Tennis Director

The nets are up on all ten courts and clean up has been completed.  I want to welcome back all the players who have supported local public park tennis and invite all players to become members for 2010.  The official season will run from May through September.

Kirby Park is centrally located and offers ten recently renovated courts with quality nets, divider curtains and rol-drys.  Six courts have been resurfaced with the US Open blue and green colors with the remaining four set to be resurfaced this season. Four courts are lighted for night play with upgraded lighting planned by the City in the near future.

Kirby Park Tennis has been and continues to be the hub of local competitive and social tennis, it's WHERE THE ACTION IS!

Kirby Park is the home of the 2008 Men's 4.0 Sectional Championship USTA team, home to PIAA and District 2 playoffs, home to the 2007 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Individual Tournament, and home to both the King's College Monarch Tennis, Coughlin High School Tennis, and Holy Redeemer High School tennis. There are always plenty of activities for players of all levels.  We have plenty of courts, so no waiting around to play.

Programs include:  USTA Leagues, tournaments, group and private lessons and junior camps.  Kirby Park has been home over the years of many highly successful USTA Level of play teams.  Our Junior Tennis Camp  is the model many others follow, call for information (714-9697).  Each camper receives a camp t-shirt, free racket and, take part in two sessions and get a FREE Jr. Membership.  Contact  Bill Eydler, Tennis Director for special programs and offers as well as High School team programs and corporate programs. Private parties are also welcomed.

Hourly rates for non-members remain the same as last season ($5 per visit).  Take advantage of season membership (no additional court fees) rates are as follows:
